ATTENTION NONPROFITS IN HEMET AND SAN JACINTO (those physically located or providing services in the area).  In partnership with the Hemet/San Jacinto Chamber of Commerce and thanks to a generous grant from Bank of America, Community Connect will be hosting its first workshop in a series of five workshops to help strengthen and support nonprofit agencies.  The workshop is FREE to attend.  The Basics and Essentials of Corporate Philanthropy.  Join this educational and interactive workshop which will focus on the basics of corporate giving and how your nonprofit or cause could be supported through various ways with the backing of local or national corporate missions.  Participants will gain knowledge and receive the following tools:

• What is corporate philanthropy and how can it benefit your agency?
• Techniques on how to approach local corporate contacts.  Real life sample successful corporate requests
• How to align your mission with corporate funding initiatives: Grant Requests Vs. Event Sponsorships, Case Study of a local corporation and success story
• How to Search for Grants online and using the Foundation Center
